Don't know your brushing from your BG's? Your WIP's from your Rims? Sounds like your a beginner to the world of Digimods.. Let me explain some basic words used regularly day to day on the forum, so you can become more street wise...! Cough..

Below is the word in bold, and then a brief explanation is situated to the right of it..


BG
- Stands for background.
Brushing
- The creation of body parts from scratch using the airbrush tool (see tools section).
C&C
- Comments and Criticism.
C/P - Abbreviation for Copy and Paste.
Chop - A digitally modified car image.
Chopping
- Another name for the art of digital modifying. Probably derived from the term Photoshoping.
Donor Car
- A good image, which is used to copy and paste from, onto your WIP.
HOF
- Hall of Fame (elite section on the forum where cars are nominated to be posted).
Lowering - Making the car lower to the ground. If you're chavy, "Slamming".
Rims
- Alloy Wheels.
Roof Chop
- Lowering the roof so the car has an overall shorter profile.
Scissor doors
- Doors that open at a 45degree angle.
Smoothing - The removal of excess parts such as door handles and badges.
Suicide doors
- Doors which open the reverse direction to the norm.
Tuts
- Shortened down word for tutorials.
Van conversion - Adding body panels over the rear windows to give it a van look.
WIP - Work In Progress, cars that are currently in Photoshop getting the treatment.
